A 2010 Trek 3rd District. Paid $399. I can't afford to own and maintain a specific bike for all the different types of riding I do (off road, commuting, trips to the grocery store, neighborhood rides with my daughter, etc.) But I've also come to the conclusion that there is no ONE bike that would satisfy all my riding needs. Sure, some folks are perfectly happy with one bike. Not me. The more the bike is designed for the specific riding condition, the more I enjoy it. So I've come up with what I think is the minimum bicycle needs for me:

Utility and Leisure

Long Training

Off Road

This new Trek satisfies number 1--especially after putting a rear rack on it. It covers about 90% of the riding I do. I also own an older Santa Cruz Blur. That covers number 3. Now for number 2...I was thinking a Masi Gran Criterium or Raleigh Record Ace. I'm open to suggestions.
